Bullet Blues Movie Events Coverage: The Oscars 2015

It’s officially that time of year again when Hollywood’s finest acting talent take center stage. At Bullet Blues, we love a grand awards ceremony, especially when it’s one as glamour-packed as the Oscars! Celebrating its 87th birthday last Sunday February 22nd, this year’s turnout was breathtaking in terms of its guest list, theatrical location, and celebrity performances. Here’s looking at you Lady Gaga!

The Oscars 2015 Dolby Theatre - Hollywood

Held at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre, Sunday’s Oscars did not disappoint. Not everybody is fortunate enough to be able to attend such a prestigious red carpet evening of fame, which is why we would like to bring you the highlights to catch up on.

Lady Gaga Sound of Music Medley

2015’s Oscar Awards were particularly moving with Lady Gaga’s emotive Sound of Music medley performance. Wearing a stunning floor-length white dress, Miss Gaga’s dress code and powerful vocals were certainly on point. What made her musical delivery even more memorable was when Julie Andrews herself greeted Gaga afterwards with a hug and a beaming smile. It was clear that this legendary actress was as much in awe of Gaga’s performance as the audience was. This was definitely our favorite stage show from the evening’s first class bill of entertainment.

Picking up the award for ‘Best Actress’ this year was Julianne Moore, who was up against the likes of Reese Witherspoon and Rosamund Pike. Julianne wore a striking sleeveless gown which showed off her toned figure, with just a couple of expensive jewelry pieces for her accessories. The 54-year-old looked every bit as beautiful as you would expect and chose a warm make-up color palette to compliment her groomed copper locks.

The award for ‘Best Actor’ went to newcomer Eddie Redmayne, who recently starred as the leading role in box office smash, ‘The Theory of Everything’. Eddie’s super sharp tuxedo and gentlemanly manner made him an Oscars natural! You can’t beat a man who looks preened and perfectly styled.
